Working in Royal Oak
Old buildings, busy sidewalks, no room for sloppiness
Royal Oak's commercial core is a different kind of job site. The buildings along Main Street and Washington are brick storefronts that have been remodeled a dozen times since the 1930s: plaster over lath, mystery framing, floors that slope with history. The sidewalks in front of them are full, the parking is metered, and the tenants next door are open for business while you work. This is retail build-out territory that punishes contractors who only know new shells.
We build and maintain across all of it: storefront and boutique build-outs downtown, office suites along Woodward and Main, medical and wellness spaces in the orbit of the Corewell Health campus, and multi-family renovation in the apartment stock that keeps the downtown full. Our maintenance side handles the rest: plaster-and-drywall repairs, repaints and flat-roof work on buildings that predate every code currently in force.
Madison Heights borders Royal Oak. Our shop on Howard Ave is minutes from downtown. For a leak call or a punch-list item, that's the difference between today and someday.
